Over the last
couple of weeks we have been working really hard to learn our 10 Times Table.
Within our classes we are getting really good at answering questions such as
what is 7 times 10 (70), and how many 10s are there in 80 (8).
By the end of the
year the children are expected to know their 10, 5, and 2 Times Tables by
heart. This is a national expectation for all children leaving Year 2. The
children will need your help to get really confident and be ready to apply
their Times Tables when they get to Year 3.
For the next few
weeks please can you concentrate on the 10 Times Table and help your
children to know their 10 Times Table by heart. We will send home a helpful
reminder with each child today (see below).
10 times table.
1 x 10 = 10
2 x 10 = 20

4 x 10 = 40
5 x 10 = 50
6 x 10 = 60
7 x 10 = 70
8 x 10 = 80
9 x 10 = 90
10 x 10 = 100
1 x 10 = 10
2 x 10 = 20
3 x 10 = 30
4 x 10 = 40
5 x 10 = 50
6 x 10 = 60
7 x 10 = 70
8 x 10 = 80
9 x 10 = 90
10 x 10 = 100
Thank you for your support, by working together we
can help the children reach their full potential and grow into the successful
life long learners we all wish for them to be.
