Expedition equipment investigation...

A couple of weeks ago the children found some sort of expedition camp had been set up in the Year 2 area. Nobody knew where it had come from or who had been staying there. All we could find as clues were some luggage labels with different initials written on them. The first artefact we have investigated was a dream-catcher with the letter 'S' on it.

In our geography and history learning the children used their internet skills to try and find a famous person from history who helped to explore different parts of the world and had a name starting with the letter 'S'.

It turned out that our first important person was Sacagawea, a young girl from Native America who helped a group of explorers led by Lewis and Clark. Although her story is not an entirely happy one, the children enjoyed finding out about how she helped explorers in America and saved the expedition by being very brave. We were all rather inspired by her resilience and bravery.

Now to find out who the items labelled with 'CC' belong to...
