On Friday we went to St Marks Church to commemorate Remembrance Day with other local schools. The children's behaviour was exemplary and clearly showed they understood the nature of the service.
After the talk we all went out for a one minute silence by the war memorial, thinking about people who have fought (and are still fighting) in wars to ensure our freedom and safety.
The children laid poppy wreaths that we had made as part of our learning all about traditions. They represented themselves and their school really well and we were very impressed with their thoughts about remembrance during the talk inside the church. Well done Adders and Bats!
