Algorithms and Soundscapes

This week the children have been learning about algorithms and how they can be used to control robotic devices. To support our Geography learning they had to navigate their way back to the United Kingdom after visiting the other side of the world.

Here is the winning algorithm, which we were able to use to program a Beebot to complete the necessary journey.

In music we have been using tuned and un-tuned instruments to create the sounds of the ocean during a storm. We worked together cooperatively to create the sounds associated with heavy rain, thunder, and the passing of a storm.
