This week we attended a special Remembrance Day service at St Mark's Church. The children represented themselves and our school fantastically well and conducted themselves with respect and understanding throughout the service.
We stood in silent reflection for two minutes and thought about how we should be grateful for soldiers risking and losing their lives to keep us safe.
As part of the service we wrote the name of somebody we would like to remember on a poppy and left poppies at the bottom of the war memorial in the centre of the graveyard.
Once we were back at school the Yellowhammers used assembly time to teach the rest of Key Stage One all about Remembrance Day.
