Welcome to our new year two's!

Hello and thank you for reading our year two blog! Please feel free to leave comments to let us know you are reading it.

It was lovely to meet the parents who joined us for 'meet the teacher' evening on Thursday, we hope you enjoyed hearing about your child's year ahead. If anyone was unable to make it, feel free to pop in and see us and we can fill you in on all the information.

Our year two classes have settled in and had a great start to the year. We kicked off our Africa topic by 'flying' to the continent in our classrooms! No one forgot their (handmade) passports and a fun time was had by all! This week the children have been busy writing information about animals we have been researching, we have been focusing on making our sentences more interesting by adding describing words and extending them by using joining words.

The children did a fantastic job in making clay elephants on Thursday and they cant wait to paint them next week.

Check out the huge African animals we painted on Friday afternoon! They are adorning our classroom walls already so come in and have a look.

More pictures up soon!
