Jack and the Beanstalk
What if Jack was the baddie in the story and the giant was actually very nice?
This was our premise when we re-wrote the Fe Fi Fo Fum rhyme to make the Giant sound less scary.
Here are some of the rhymes that we wrote in groups.
Fe Fi Fo Fum
I like drinking lots of rum.
I am tall, with a big fat belly.
I look like a plate of jelly.
Fe Fi Fo Fum
I really love everyone
I’m not bad, I’m really kind.
Jack might be naughty, but I don’t mind.
Fe Fi Fo Fum
I really love my Mum.
I might be big, but I’m really good.
Like an enormous Robin Hood.
Fe Fi Fo Fum
I’m as cute as a baby’s bum.
I am helpful and I am kind.
I swept up the mess Jack left behind.
Fe Fi Fo Fum
I like chewing bubble gum.
I spend all day blowing bubbles.
It makes me forget all my troubles.
Fe Fi Fo Fum
I smell the flowers from his home.
I am lovely, I am kind,
The friendliest giant you will ever find.
I think you will agree that these are really splendid.
