This week we are not using any books in our literacy lessons. We are using paintings and photographs as a stimulus for our work. This morning we have used the picture above to develop a couple of descriptive sentences which could be the start of a story.
This is the Rowans Story Starter :
Chineese boats racing under the massive curved stone arch, towards the misty town.
Mr Blue and Miss Black argue embarrassingly loudly about whose boat will win.
This is the Junipers Story Starter :
Strange shaped boats paddling along calm, dirty water. Under the skinny brick bridge upon which a man asks a woman to go out with him on a romantic date.
